The season is 1984, and on the countryside Eastern Shore of New Zealand "Thriller" is modifying children's life. Motivated by the Oscar selected 2 Cars, One Evening, Boy is the very funny and genuine coming-of-age story about people, MJ (Michael Jackson). Boy is a dreamer who adores MJ. He life with his brother Rocky, a group of abandoned family members and his Nan. Kid's other idol, his dad, Alamein, is the topic of Kid's dreams, and he pictures him as an in-depth sea scuba diver, war idol and a near regards of MJ (he can even flow like him). In fact he's "in the can for robbery". When Alamein comes back home after 7 decades away, Boy is required to encounter the man he believed he recalled, discover his own prospective and understand to get along without the idol he had been expecting for.
